Like many of the things we use in our daily lives they will often need to be maintained and looked after from time to time. Our houses, cars, computers all need to be checked and maintained to ensure that are running properly and effectively, a protection dog is no different.
We therefore recommend to all of our customers that they take out a regular maintenance and continuation program at various intervals of 3, 6, 12 months.
One of our senior instructors or senior handlers will come and visit you and your protection dog in the home environment and asses both owner and protection dog.
We will ensure that all of the obedience, agility and necessary protection skills are still sharp and that the dog – and in some cases the owners – have not slipped into any bad habits.
In order to get the best from your protection dog, routine, discipline, bonding and obedience are the paramount factors in getting the best from this relationship.
